Fall Tree Planting Program

September 19, 2014

The Village will be taking requests for the Fall Parkway and Private Tree Planting Programs in October and November; a variety of trees species are available. The 2 ½ trunk diameter parkway trees are planted at no cost to residents. Larger diameter-sized trees are available, but residents are responsible for the difference in cost. Trees are also available for purchase for planting by the Village in easily accessible areas of private residences as well.

Residents Urged to Participate in Village Citizen Survey

September 17, 2014

Village officials are pleased to announce that a comprehensive quality of life survey will be mailed to residents within the next few weeks. Questionnaires sent to all 4,300 households in the Village will ask for feedback on Village services and opinions on key policy questions.

Village Performing Geotechnical Investigations in Connection With Willow Road Stormwater Tunnel and Area Drainage Improvements

This month,the Village’s Tunnel Engineer, MWH, and its subcontractor, Testing Service Corporation (TSC), are performing geotechnical investigations in Winnetka in connection with the Willow Road Stormwater Tunnel and Area Drainage Improvements Project. These investigations are required to gather information on subsurface conditions that can impact the design and construction of the proposed storm sewer improvements.

Police - Fire Open House
