Housed within the Manager’s Office is the Village Clerk. Foremost among the programs offered by the Village Clerk is voter registration. The Village Clerk's Office is also responsible for receiving the nominating petitions and other election matters involving the local election of Village President and Trustees who serve on the Village Council. However, election and voter registration procedures are governed by the State Board of Elections and the Cook County Clerk, respectively.
If you have an Illinois driver's license or state ID, you may register online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website.
Hours for regular in-person voter registration at Winnetka Village Hall are: 8:30 AM - Noon; and 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday at 510 Green Bay Road. Please bring two forms of identification in order to register; at least one must show your current Winnetka address. By State Statute, regular voter registration closes 28 days prior to Election Day and re-opens two days following the election.
Visit the Cook County Clerk’s website for information on grace period and Election Day voter registration, voting locations, voting by mail, ballot information and election results.
