Important Information for Snow Removal Contractors
January 6, 2017 01:32 PM
It is common practice for a snow removal service to push snow from its client property onto the parkway of the opposite side of the street. This process often leaves ridges of snow on previously cleared streets, creating hazards. In addition, the deposited snow is often a nuisance to the "receiving" side of the street, since potential property damage and reduced sight lines can result.
The Village requests that property owners direct their private snow plow operators to deposit snow on the parkway immediately adjacent to and on the same side of street as the property from which they are removing snow. Click here to see a diagram for visual guidance.
