Winnetka’s Document Destruction Event will be held Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Public Works Yards, 1390 Willow Road. Spring Tree Planting Program Deadline is April 21

The Village is taking requests for the parkway tree planting program on public streets. The Village plants 2” – 2 ½” trunk diameter parkway trees where voids exist, at no cost to residents. Larger trees are available, but residents are responsible for cost differences. Contact the Village Forester at 847-716-3535 to request an application, or more information. The deadline for spring tree requests is April 21. Plant a tree today for a greener tomorrow!


Village of Winnetka Honored for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Village of Winnetka has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Winnetka's Electronics Recycling Program Resumes March 30

In January, the Village suspended its electronics recycling program for the winter months. The program will resume March 30, 2017, at its regular time, every Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Public Works Yards, 1390 Willow Road. The Village will continue its other recycling programs year-round, including recycling of styrofoam, light bulbs, batteries, handheld electronics, holiday lights and gym shoes.
