Village of Winnetka Receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

The Village of Winnetka has won the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2017 budget document. The award represents a significant achievement for the Village, and reflects the commitment of the Village Council and staff to meet the highest principles of government budgeting. Less than 2% of almost 7,000 eligible entities in Illinois have won the 2017 Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.


Village Launches Online Payments for Miscellaneous Billing

The Village of Winnetka now accepts online credit card payments for miscellaneous bills such as false alarm fees, safety trainings, and many others. The footer of the paper bill you receive in the mail will indicate if your invoice is eligible to be paid online with a credit card. There are no fees associated with online credit card payments.


Police-Fire Open House - Saturday, October 14 From 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

On Saturday, October 14, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, the Winnetka Fire and Winnetka Police Departments will host their annual Open House, which coincides with the end of Fire Prevention Week. This well-attended event affords the opportunity to tour the headquarters of both Departments, view equipment demonstrations, and sit in public safety vehicles like fire engines and police cars.
