Winnetka's Community Development Director to Retire

After 16 years of service as Winnetka’s Community Development Director, Mike D’Onofrio has announced his plans to retire. He anticipates his last day will be in June, 2017. Throughout his career, Mr. D’Onofrio worked with numerous residential, commercial and industrial developers to guide them through the municipal development approval building permit processes. The Village invites the community to join in congratulating Mr. D’Onofrio and wishing him happiness in retirement.

Village of Winnetka Honored for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Village of Winnetka has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This award recognizes the CAFR for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2015. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting
