Upcoming Holiday Refuse & Recycling Schedule

Curbside Leaf Collection Extended to Tuesday, December 5

Winnetka’s annual curbside leaf collection program will run until Tuesday, December 5. Under this program, residents may rake their leaves to the parkway just inside the edge of the curb for collection by the Village. Please do not rake leaves into the streets. This creates a hazard, as leaves are slippery when wet; and also can clog storm sewers, leading to flooded streets and yards.


Tree Lighting on Friday, December 1 at 5:30 PM at Station Park

Usher in the holiday season, Friday December 1, at 5:30 pm with the annual Winnetka Tree Lighting at Station Park, 754 Elm Street – across Green Bay Road from Village Hall. There will be a visitor from the North Pole and festive carolers in Victorian costumes to lead the singing, after the lighting ceremony. There won’t be a visit with the Grinch at the Book Stall… the Grinch is stuck in Whoville. Our town is safe with Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
