Spring Cleanup is April 23 - April 26

Winnetka’s Annual Spring Clean-Up week will be held April 23 thru April 26. Scheduled pickups are: Monday, April 24: north of Tower Road; Tuesday, April 25: Tower Road to Pine Street; Wednesday, April 26: Pine Street to Willow Road; Thursday, April 27: south of Willow Road. Items should be placed on residential parkways the evening before the scheduled pickup, or by 7:00 AM the day of the pickup, in order to minimize littering problems.

Village Launches Utility eBills and Recurring Credit Card Payments

The Village of Winnetka has introduced two new features to enhance its utility billing process. eBills allows a customer to enroll in electronic billing, with the option of waiving a paper bill. The second enhancement is recurring credit card payments. The feature can be accessed with or without enrollment in eBills, and will automatically charge an account-holder’s utility bill balance to a credit card on file with the Village during each billing cycle.

Seatbelt Saturdays for the Month of March

Every Saturday during the month of March, Winnetka Police will increase enforcement efforts to educate motorists who are not wearing seatbelts. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seatbelt use in passenger vehicles saved an estimated 13,941 lives during 2015. Buckling up helps keep drivers and passengers secure inside a vehicle, while not buckling up can result in being totally ejected from the vehicle in a crash.

The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 42nd Annual Recognition Lunch on Wednesday, April 11 at 11:00 AM, at the Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue. The community is invited to attend this annual event that recognizes outstanding residents, employees, community and business leaders, and volunteers.
