On Sunday, September 18 from 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM, Wilson Street south of Ash Street and Winnetka Avenue between Green Bay and Sheridan Roads will be closed to accommodate a section of the bicycle portion of the Northshore Triathlon.  Residents will  not have access to their driveways during that time.  Those who wish to access their vehicles during the race time September 18 should move their vehicle(s) to a nearby side street where parking is permitted.  Overnight parking enforcement will be waived in this area of the Village during the night before the race.  Please do not park on the side of the streets where parking is prohibited.

This event will also require the full closure of southbound Sheridan Road from Winnetka Avenue through Kenilworth and Wilmette from 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM.  There will be a detour in place on Sheridan Road at Cherry Street.  Southbound Sheridan Road traffic from Cherry Street to Winnetka Avenue will only be permitted for local residents.  The swimming and running portions of the triathlon will be held in Wilmette.  The event organizers, Precision Multisport of Evanston, are working with the Winnetka, Kenilworth and Wilmette Police Departments to minimize the potential inconvenience to residents.  To see all of the course maps for the triathlon, click here.
