Dwyer Park Community Engagement Continues

June 24, 2016 09:00 AM

The Winnetka Park District continues to gather community input during the planning stages of the Dwyer Park playground renovation. The District conducted their first set of community meetings in May and a second set June. The purpose of those meetings was to lay out the planning process and begin to hear the thoughts of neighborhood residents. The third set of meetings are at Dwyer Park (856 Elm Street) on the following dates:
Thursday, July 7, 6:30 pm orSaturday, July 9, 9:00 am
The agenda for each meeting is identical - so if interested residents cannot attend the first meeting, they will have a second opportunity to participate. Final conceptual site plans will be presented for public feedback, before they are presented to the Park Board for discussion and final approval. A Park Board committee will review the concept drawings on Thursday, July 14 and the entire Park Board will deliberate on Thursday, July 28.
Those unable to unable to attend can still comment on the proposed Dwyer Park playground renovations by contacting Costa Kutulas at 847-501-2052 or   For additional information and updates, click here.
