Earth Hour is on Saturday, March 29

Earth Hour
Saturday, March 29
8:30 PM

Earth Hour is the largest symbolic mass participation event in the world.  Born out of a hope that people could be mobilized to take action on climate change, Earth Hour inspires a global community of millions of people to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment.

You can participate by turning off your lights this Saturday, March 29, starting at 8:30 PM. The Village of Winnetka will make efforts to conserve its electric usage during this time.

Earth Hour is about collective impact, beyond the hour – it has evolved into a continuous movement driving real actions, big and small, that are changing the world we live in.  To learn more about Earth Hour, to find an event in the Chicago area or to start your own event, visit the Earth Hour website.
