Find Out how to Help Protect the Chicago River

April 13, 2017 10:55 AM

The Friends of the Chicago River, founded in 1979, is active in promoting the health of the River through raising awareness about the impacts of stormwater, sewage and industrial waste.  The Friends encourages individuals to conserve water, especially during heavy storms when the Chicago area’s system of tunnels and reservoirs can become overwhelmed.

Click here more information about how our wastewater system works, and what you can do to mitigate your impact on the system.
