Dispose of Unused Prescription Medications and Sharps at Fire Department

The Winnetka Fire Department participates in the Residential Prescription Drug & Sharps Disposal Program. Home prescription medications and used insulin syringes may be dropped off at the Fire Department Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Please note that the Fire Department cannot accept narcotics.

Winnetka Offers Online Payment of Permits, Utilities and Parking Fines

Residents can renew their vehicle stickers, commuter parking passes, and dog licenses online. Purchases can be made by a major credit card and will be shipped after the purchase is complete. Please note that only renewal vehicle sticker and pet license applications are eligible for online ordering at this time. New residents must come to Village Hall to purchase their stickers; or call the Finance Department at 847-501-6000 to request an application via mail.

Thanks to grant funding from our electricity supplier, the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA), Winnetka is offering a $50 rebate for residential utility customers when they buy and install a Nest smart thermostat.
