Sheridan Road Stormwater Improvement and Resurfacing Program:

September 14, 2015 03:16 PM

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) began the “Lake Cook Road to Winnetka Avenue Resurfacing and Drainage Improvement Project” the week of September 28.  This project encompasses the resurfacing of Sheridan Road between Lake Cook Road south to Winnetka Avenue, as well as storm water improvements in the Ravines section of Sheridan Road between Tower Road and Scott Avenue.

IDOT is anticipating that a portion of the resufacing project will be completed this year; with storm sewer and roadway repairs in the Ravines being completed in Spring, 2016. The contractor will begin with the rehabilitation activities near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Winnetka Avenue and progress northerly towards Lake Cook Road.

The Village will be providing weekly updates on the progression of the project.  Because this project is being managed by IDOT personnel all questions specific to the work activities should be directed to IDOT's project engineers: Larry Pray, 847-410-7393; or Paul Gregoire 847-705-4262.  If you have any other questions or concerns about the project please contact the Assistant Director of Public Works and Engineering, James J. Bernahl, at 847-716-3261 or, respectively.
