The 2018 Winnetka Music Festival will be Bigger and Better

May 16, 2018 07:43 AM

The 2018 Winnetka Music Festival will be held on Friday, June 15, from 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Saturday, June 16, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM.  This year there are over 25 artists from around the globe, with almost every musical genre represented.  There will be three main stages plus a family stage at Dwyer Park, and music in the Winnetka Chapel at the Community House.

Throughout the area, fairgoers will be tempted by food trucks, craft beer and wine vendors, and many local eateries.  The Winnetka Music Festival Sale also showcases many of the wonderful local business within the festival grounds. Take advantage of the special discounts, free shipping, and other great offerings while you enjoy the music, food, and fun during the Winnetka Music Festival.

This year’s festival headliner is ZZ Ward, who grew up listening to blues greats Howlin’ Wolf, Robert Johnson and Big Mama Thornton.  This vocal powerhouse provides a fresh, contemporary twist on traditional blues with her gritty, blues-based tunes that morph into rock, R&B, gospel and indie sounds.

The Winnetka Music Festival is created by the Village of Winnetka, Winnetka Park District, and the Chamber of Commerce, with special support of the Winnetka Community House.  The Festival is co-produced by Val Haller, CEO/Founder of Valslist Music. Val is known internationally for her uncanny ability to select the best new emerging artists and to stage unique live events; her influence is a large part of what makes Winnetka’s festival so special.

Many corporate sponsorships this year will help to make the 2018 Festival even bigger and better than last year; among them:  BMO Harris, Chicago Cubs, Field’s Auto Group, Spynergy, Red Spade, Enchanting Exteriors, Half Acre Brewing, Hoffman Commercial Real Estate, Baird & Warner, Berkshire Hathaway, Lululemon, Illinois Bone & Joint, and 93XRT.  All these and more are helping to make the Winnetka Music Festival a premier summer event on the North Shore.
