Effective immediately, the Village of Winnetka is cancelling public meetings, including Village Council, Board, and Commission meetings, until further notice. This decision was made in order to limit exposure to and spread of coronavirus, promoting the health and safety of our residents, staff, and elected officials. Given recommendations for social distancing by the CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Heath, the Village is setting an example by suspending public meetings.

The Village will continually reassess prevailing conditions and will alert the community when our regularly scheduled meetings resume, or if a need arises for an emergency meeting.

Residents can gather more information on coronavirus from the CDC, the Illinois Department of Public Health, or the City of Chicago’s dedicated coronavirus website.

Questions about the Village’s meeting cancellations can be directed to communications@winnetka.org or 847-716-3541.
