If you are traveling away from your home for more than a few days and no one is staying in the house, you can request a vacation watch of your home. You can make this request online or by contacting the Records Division at 847-501-6034 to request a vacation watch. Homes on the watch list will be monitored by police officers during their routine patrols of the neighborhood. Please note that heavy call volume and/or officer availability can affect how often your property may be checked.
